What is Archie all about?

Install Archie on the local computer in order to perform an archie FTP search. A network connection is also required to access the server.
The Archie client asks you to enter the pathname of the archie server where you wish to run the script. The client will tell the script to stop waiting on a response and to terminate when the time is right. This allows the script to search as fast as possible without wasting your time.
The Archie database will be stored in a FORM associative array, and the parse_archie_fields subroutine will use this as a search format. The server names and IP addresses that are stored in the FORM associative array will be decoded and used in constructing the search. The query field is stored in a variable called query, which can be retrieved by the program.
